Chris Janzen: Maximizing Effectiveness of Your Greatest Asset – Time

We’re all busy. Post pandemic, our already busy lives have become even more packed. The biggest culprit responsible for adding extra hours to our workweek is meetings. How often have you had a day where you were running from meeting to meeting, or attending zoom call after zoom call. Many have started calling it becoming “zoomed out.”

The reality is that we spend about 85-90% of our time in meetings.

Now, you’ve also probably noticed that many meetings that you’re a part of could have been avoided. Maybe the meeting didn’t accomplish anything concrete, maybe you didn’t have anything to contribute, or maybe the meeting ran on for too long and was all based on opinions vs. action items.

Here’s the kicker – based on a recent survey, 90% of our time on a daily basis is only used 30% effectively. If you’re curious to know why this is the case, how you can become more effective, and ultimately add hours back to your day, then this is the episode for you.
